CAD on a USB drive/stick

Well long time no post but I have recently discovered a light weight CAD application that can run from a USB flash drive - LiteCAD . It is not completely ready as I found a few commands that don't work or are simply not there (yet I hope). What it does do is open 2007 format DWG files and does give you the ability to edit them. No small task from such a light weight program. Well worth watching. Oh I forgot to mention that it is FREE! :)

Sweet! I've been on the lookout for this. There are other cadd programs out there, but one that runs from a thumb drive? Freakin awesome! Hope they can make it 3D in time.

Anon, I really doubt that it will have any 3D tools any time soon. Looks like it is geared for 2D work. Yeah, a 3D option would be sweet though. Well we can hope.

Really good! It works fine for my needs. Hope this CAD have more commands in the future and opens DWG files too.

It will already open DWG files. Seems to be difficult to other CAD makers but this guy has it built in.

if you are looking for a 3d drawing prog that runs from an USB device try Blender

Sure you can run Blender on a USB drive but I don't consider Blender a "CAD" program. Sure it is a very popular 3D program but not really "CAD".
